Out of My Mind

We have been reading Out of My Mind as a read aloud book in term 4. We talked about Cerebral Palsy, empathy and sympathy. I rate Out of My Mind ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because now I know what it would be like to have Cerebral Palsy. I also like it because it had lots of problems Melody had to face. I think Sharon Draper wrote this because she wanted us to know how it feels to have a difficulty and how hard it is.

Super awesome me at the keyboard concert

On Tuesday the 24th of November our grade had a keyboard concert. Me, Charlotte, Sienna, Mikaylah, Ben and Oliver played in the keyboard concert in front of parents and our grade. I played Lean on me and Miniature Sonatina. All of us played Advance Australia Fair and people sang along.

Great garlic investigation

Totally awesome temperature investigation

We have been learning about temperature. I found out the there is a difference between Melbourne and Gisborne temperature. I also found out that the UV is not related to the weather. I learnt that the average is all the scores divided and the mode is the most often score. We drew a table in our maths book that records the UV, sky, Gisborne’s temperature and Melbourne’s temperature. The maths was difference, tables, recording information and statements.

Fantastic, Fabulous Fun Run!

Persistence

This week we learnt about persistence. Persistence means keep trying and not giving no matter how hard something could be. We did charades of things where you have to use persistence. There are obstacles like distractions, I can’t do it thinking and things you do after school. The things you can do to help are do it straight away and say I can do it.

Remembrance Day

This is my poppy I made

Yesterday was Remembrance Day and we learnt a lot about it. The poppy is a symbol of Remembrance Day because it was the first flower to grow on the battlefields. The red colour shows the red blood on the battlefields. The last post was played at the end of everyday to say that it was time to rest for the day. Remembrance Day is on the 11th of November because that’s when the countries signed an armistice. It was at 11am on the 11th if November that World War 1 finished.
